The First Flight High School men's soccer team, along with some of the girls from the FFMS soccer team, held a soccer clinic for 3- to 7-year-olds on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 9 to 11 a.m. Coach Juan Ramirez worked with FFHS athletic trainer Alyssa Baldauf, who works with the Outer Banks Family YMCA and had come up with the plan for this clinic.

Ramirez is wide open to serving the community, and he said he plans to do this again with the YMCA. He mentioned that in the past, he worked with the volleyball coach, Amanda Greibiner, to set-up a co-ed volleyball scrimmage between soccer and volleyball players with admission being donations to the Beach Food Pantry, which was a big hit with everyone – from the participants to the spectators.

At the soccer clinic, the cute factor was off the charts! Players and parents had a fantastic time with members of the defending state champion soccer squad.
