Interim Principal Caroline Pearce
I have had, with very limited interruption, the incomparable, lifelong privilege of pursuing my passion to educate. I can honestly say that I am presently, have been since the age of 8, and will always be in love with teaching and lifelong learning! Since March of 1979 I have been employed by the Dare County Board of Education. I am thankful for the families in Dare County who have entrusted me with the care and education of their children and for the Dare County Schools’ staffs with whom I have worked that many times motivated me to be better than I thought I could ever be. The thousands of students whom I have loved, taught, advised, and coached have enriched my life immeasurably, and I will not, willingly, give up the memory of a single one! Miraculously, my personal family -- an exceptional husband, two extraordinary children, and four phenomenal grandchildren -- and my professional families and friends have understood and supported me throughout my very long career! Someone much wiser than Caroline Pearce has written that we all should "LIVE WELL, LAUGH OFTEN, AND LOVE MUCH." By the grace of God, I have done and hope to continue to do just that! My life, to the present time, truly could not have been any better, and I am hopeful that for many years to come I will continue to be a positive, enthusiastic influence in the lives of those with whom I come into contact.
